Designed by Stuart. This garden was to occupy a section of a large corner plot that the client wanted to develop into a more of a retreat from the day’s stresses.
The main focal point is the garden room. The client had looked at options available off the shelf, so to speak, but wanted something that was their own.
The area was on a very slight slope, but we used this to our advantage by splitting the area on to 3 levels, adding interest.
The first level was to take in the washing line so we screened this with cedar battens, the second level had borders and lawn, all on a relaxed scale leading to the garden room.
The garden room was constructed on an elevated base. Oak timbers, rendered block, reclaim brick and pan tile were used to create the look of a converted out building.
The result was a garden area to retreat to or equally entertain in.
