Designed by Stuart, this garden was for a client who had an eye and a love for the unusual and wanted this to extend to their garden.
The area had practical needs as well with the introduction of an access and parking area for the client vehicles in front of the house; this was finished with gravel and softened with yew hedging.
The remaining area was inspired by the objects collected by the client, the structural interest is obviously with the bold structures of the cube, pyramid and the three dimensional X that the client had retained from an exhibition.
The garden features were linked together by a rill continually flowing above and below ground. Planting was, dense and mixed using herbaceous perennials and shrubs to create an almost wild look to the garden, but complimenting the various features, most of which were constructed using reclaimed materials.
